Job Description
We are a fast-growing and dynamic international company with operations across six countries. We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive AML / Compliance Officer to join our high-performing team in Dubai.
In this role, you will perform international compliance tasks, such as creating and maintaining AML/CFT manuals, as well as developing and maintaining Customer Risk Assessments (CRA) and Business Risk Assessments (BRA) to ensure compliance with laws and regulations across multiple jurisdictions (excluding the UAE).
This role is ideal for individuals with consultancy-based experience in AML/CFT compliance, who can work independently, take initiative, and make impactful decisions. The role is not suitable for candidates with a banking or exchange background, as the focus is on international regulatory frameworks and compliance solutions for businesses operating in jurisdictions such as the UK, Cyprus, and Curacao.
Key Responsibilities:
AML/CFT Compliance Oversight:
- Develop, implement, and maintain AML/CFT policies, procedures, and internal controls tailored to the business and jurisdiction-specific regulatory requirements. Training will be provided to understand specific regulatory requirements for different jurisdictions.
- Conduct regular reviews and updates of AML/CFT manuals to reflect regulatory changes and best practices across international markets.
- Act as the primary point of contact with regulators and auditors regarding AML/CFT matters in relevant jurisdictions.
Risk Assessments:
- Create and maintain comprehensive Customer Risk Assessments (CRA) and Business Risk Assessments (BRA) to identify, manage, and mitigate risks effectively.
- Continuously monitor and evaluate risks associated with customer profiles and business operations, while learning to integrate jurisdictional requirements as needed.
Ad Hoc Responsibilities:
- Provide consultancy and advisory services to clients or internal teams on AML/KYC compliance matters for jurisdictions such as the UK, Cyprus, Curacao, or others.
- Support remediation projects and process improvements as needed.
- Deliver professional and confident communication with colleagues, account managers, risk teams, and customer relations staff as part of the DD process.
- Demonstrate a willingness to stay informed about AML/CFT regulations and adapt to evolving compliance standards. Training will be provided for key regulatory frameworks.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with regulatory authorities across various jurisdictions.
- Create and deliver AML training programs for new employees and other departments.
- Undertake additional responsibilities, including new project development and efficiency improvements, as assigned by management.

Qualifications and Experience:
Experience:
- Minimum 2+ years of experience in AML/CFT compliance, risk management, or related fields, preferably in a consultancy-based environment.
- Demonstrated experience in creating AML/CFT manuals and developing Customer Risk Assessments (CRA) and Business Risk Assessments (BRA) for online businesses.
- Prior experience as an MLRO or Deputy MLRO will be considered a strong advantage.
- Willingness to learn about the iGaming industry and its compliance landscape is required. Prior experience in this field is a plus but not mandatory.
Certifications:
- Professional certifications such as ICA, CAMS, or equivalent internationally recognized qualifications.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in compliance monitoring tools and software.
- General knowledge of AML/CFT principles and controls, with a willingness to learn specific regulatory requirements (e.g., FATF recommendations, MIFID II)
- Familiarity with data analytics and reporting tools for AML purposes.
Soft Skills:
- Exceptional organizational and analytical skills to manage complex compliance tasks independently.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to provide concise reports and updates to stakeholders.
- A self-starter mindset with the ability to take initiative, work autonomously, and solve problems proactively.
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.
